ABOUT ARTIST
Hey! My name is Isabelle! I'm a self-taught artist who grew up and works in the Northern Rivers, NSW, Australia. My love for art started the moment I could pick up a paintbrush and has always been a way for me to express myself, to clear my mind, finding comfort just being in the moment of creating. I have also always loved animals, but found my passion for birds a couple years ago after adopting my pineapple conure, Jiji (seen on the right), then Kiwi, a cheeky ringneck and Wish, a sweet male Eclectus parrot. I began painting these beautiful creatures shortly after. I fell in love with how intelligent and beautiful birds are, how each species is so different but also how each individual bird has a personality of their own. Many people are so unaware of how affectionate, cleaver, playful and loyal birds can be and before Jiji neither did I. Now I want to share my love for birds with others, trying to show how precious and important they are to our world, focusing on native birds from my home country, Australia.
About Original Paintings
My original artworks are done using Sennelier watercolour paints as well as Winston & Newton watercolour paints which are both professional artist grade. The paper I use is Arches 300gsm Watercolour Paper which is 100% cotton, hot pressed, giving it a smooth, vivid finish and acid free, preventing any discolouration or yellowing of the work over time.
About Fine Art Prints
I do all these prints myself using an Epson EcoTank ET-8550 which produces high quality fine art prints that look identical to the original paintings. The paper used is Canson Infinity Edition Etching Rag 310gsm, a lightly textured 100% cotton fine art paper, very similar to the original etching and printmaking papers. This paper is museum-grade and acid free, preventing any discolouration overtime, keeping the prints timeless. All prints come in various sizes, packaged with a backing board, in a clear plastic sleeve and are hand signed by me, the artist.

About Gifts & Cards
On my website I offer a variety of different affordable gifts and cards displayed with my art on them. Some items you will find are greeting cards, coasters, and postcards. You can also find raffia baskets I have weaved. I recently got into this art form and absolutely fell in love with the process. I use natural raffia grass, naturally dyed from Madagascar. I love to add natural accessories, such as my own birds feathers, to each basket making each their own unique art piece.
